Here we go again...

As many of you know, I had a nasty accident a week before Martha and I were to do this ride last year. I can't tell you how disappointing it was for me not to be able to ride with her last year. She did an absolutely awesome job and I was at least happy I was able to be there and meet her at every finish line. (By the way, she came in first the first two days and within the first 5 the 3rd day). I thank you all for your donations last year and felt badly that I wasn't able to ride. But guess what? I am going for it again.

This is particularly important to me. It is important because it relates to breast cancer, of which I am a survivor. It's important because it is focused on helping young women tackle breast cancer with the tools and support that I found so invaluable during my journey with breast cancer and it is important because I so want to do this with my daughter!

Last year Martha and I met a wonderful group from Newport/Jamestown who have asked us to join their team. We will now be part of Team Ivory Ella. Ivory Ella is a company committed to doing everything they can to support our community and our world, including women with breast cancer.

The Tour de Pink is a challenging, three-day, 211 mile bike ride for breast cancer. I know I can do it with your help encouraging me and supporting me with a donation.

Your donation will go to support Young Survival Coalition and ensure that no young woman faces breast cancer alone. YSC is the premier organization providing supportive services and education resources for young women affected by breast cancer.

YSC Tour de Pink is much more than just a bike ride, it’s a chance to honor survivors, raise awareness and support important programs for young women affected by breast cancer. I hope I can count on you to help me reach my fundraising goal!

How will your donation help?

$25 could fund YSC materials at three healthcare providers’ offices.
$100 could provide a Newly Diagnosed Navigator to six women when they need it most.
$250 could allow us to train four survivors to serve as a peer supporters.
$500 could fund a Young Empowered Survivor (YES) educational program.
$1,200 could pay for two young women to travel to the YSC Summit, an annual conference for young women affected by breast cancer and their co-survivors.

Any amount helps!

As I train for this amazing ride I plan to update this page frequently along with my social media accounts so that all of my supporters can see my progress.

Thank you in advance for your support. I truly appreciate your generosity.
