Welcome to Evan Lerner's Page

Evan Lerner

Thanks for taking a moment to visit my page.

On October 4, 2019, I will be participating in my 14th Tour de Pink, the TdP East, a 200+ mile ride meandering through Central and Northern New Jersey and finishing at the shore three days later. But that's just where my 2019 commitment begins.

A few short weeks later I will be traveling to California to ride in my 15th Tour de Pink. It will be my first time riding the TdP West ride. The West Coast ride is "only" 204 miles, but in the three days cover almost 7,000 feet of elevation changes. From what I understand its mostly uphill. :(

When all is said and done, I will have ridden approximately 430 miles over six days (and flown about 6,000 miles too).

To ride in these events I need to raise $6,000. My goal, however, is to raise $8,000. To achieve this lofty accomplishment, I need your help and am counting on your generosity to help make it happen.

I ride to support the Young Survival Coalition, the premier non-profit organization devoted to providing services for young women with breast cancer.

Tour de Pink is much more than just a bike ride, it’s a chance to honor survivors, raise awareness, and support important programs for young women affected by breast cancer. I hope I can count on you to help me reach my fundraising goal!

Your donation will directly support Young Survival Coalition and ensure that no young woman faces breast cancer alone. YSC offers resources, connections and outreach so women feel supported, empowered and hopeful. YSC is the only national nonprofit that solely focuses on serving young women under the age of 40 affected by breast cancer. YSC serves over 8,000 women each year with support and education to be their best health advocate throughout all stages of breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and long-term survivorship.

Cancer can be a very isolating disease, and especially so for a young woman who may still be finishing their education, starting a career, and building her romantic and family life. YSC’s supportive services include: in-person support groups around the country, online video support groups, one-on-one peer mentoring, creation and distribution of free educational materials for survivors, co-survivors and healthcare providers, a training program for survivors to amplify the need for expanded research and advocacy, and an annual conference called the YSC Summit. Read more about YSC here: youngsurvival.org

You can view YSC’s audited financials and annual reports online here: youngsurvival.org/who-we-are/financial-information

How will your donation help?

$25 could fund YSC materials at three healthcare providers’ offices.
$100 could provide a Newly Diagnosed Navigator to six women when they need it most.
$250 could allow us to train four survivors to serve as a peer supporters.
$500 could fund a survivor advocate in our RISE training program
$1,200 could pay for two young women to travel to the YSC Summit, an annual conference for young women affected by breast cancer and their co-survivors.

Any amount helps!

Thank you in advance for your support. I truly appreciate your generosity.

With love and gratitude,

Evan
