2018 Tour de Pink East

One-Day Ride


The 2018 East Coast one-day ride option is on Saturday, September 29, 2018*. Together with our 3-day riders, everyone will ride a 75 mile loop starting in Hauppauge, traveling southwest along the shoreline to beautiful Jones Beach, and then returning inland to end back where we started in Hauppauge.

Because of the high number of 1-day riders in 2018, we are offering 1-day rider registration on both Friday evening and Saturday morning at the Hyatt Regency Long Island.

Friday, Sept. 28:

5:00-6:15 pm - Early One-Day Rider Registration

Follow the signs for dinner, and you will see our registration table outside of the dinner room. Dinner begins at 6:30pm.

Saturday, Sept. 29:

6:30-7:30 am - One-Day Rider Registration

* YSC is offering 1 free dinner to all one day riders this year. We strongly encourage you to stay for the dinner program on Friday and/or Saturday, where Tour de Pink riders will share their stories about their journey with YSC. Because the ride is a loop starting and ending at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge, there are no additional transportation needs for the one-day ride. You are responsible for getting yourself to and from the event hotel.

Driving: You may leave your car parked at the Hyatt Regency for the day for free. See the hotel on google maps here.

Public Transportation: The Long Island Rail Road (MTA LIRR) provides service from New York City to Long Island. The closest LIRR stop is 3 miles from the Hyatt Regency hotel at Central Islip Station (Main Line, Ronkonkoma Branch).

Flying: The Hyatt Regency is 1 hour by car from LaGuardia Airport, and 50 minutes by car from John F. Kennedy Airport.

You can fly into the following airports:

  • LaGuardia Airport (LGA) - 44 miles from hotel
  • John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) - 40 miles from hotel
  • Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) - 7 miles from hotel

From there, take a taxi, car service, or public transportation (Long Island Rail Road instructions above). You can connect to the LIRR from LaGuardia airport (Q70 bus here) and JFK airport (Airtrain JFK Red here).

Fundraising Minimum

  • $350 to participate, or $500 to earn a Tour de Pink cycling jersey
  • Breakfast, lunch, 1 dinner (Friday or Saturday), supplies at rest stops along the route, and all medical and technical support is provided.
