2018 Tour de Pink East

September 28, 2018

Transportation

All riders are responsible for getting themselves and their bikes to the starting location. If you ship your bike, we will have your bike waiting for you at the starting hotel.

Getting to the Start

The Hyatt Regency Long Island is located 50 miles east of New York City in Hauppauge, NY.

Driving: You may leave your car parked at the Hyatt Regency for the whole weekend for free. See the hotel on google maps here.

Public Transportation: The Long Island Rail Road (MTA LIRR) provides service from New York City to Long Island. The closest LIRR stop is 3 miles from the Hyatt Regency hotel at Central Islip Station (Main Line, Ronkonkoma Branch).

Flying: The Hyatt Regency is 1 hour by car from LaGuardia Airport, and 50 minutes by car from John F. Kennedy Airport.

You can fly into the following airports:

  • LaGuardia Airport (LGA) - 44 miles from hotel
  • John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) - 40 miles from hotel
  • Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) - 7 miles from hotel

From there, take a taxi, car service, or public transportation (Long Island Rail Road instructions above). You can connect to the LIRR from LaGuardia airport (Q70 bus here) and JFK airport (Airtrain JFK Red here).

Getting from the Finish

Three-day riders

  • We will provide bus service from the finish in Kings Park, NY back to the Hyatt Regency hotel in Hauppauge. You must purchase a bus ticket online before September 7, 2018. We will also transport your bike with you.
  • We will also provide shuttles to the nearby Kings Park Station (Port Jefferson Branch) on the LIRR, which provides service to New York City, LaGuardia and JFK Airports (see above). You must purchase a bus ticket online before September 7, 2018. We will also transport your bike with you if needed.
  • All buses and shuttles will leave Kings Park at 3:30 pm. So please plan flight times accordingly to give yourself ample time to get to the airport.

One-day riders

Because the ride is a loop starting and ending at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge, there are no additional transportation needs for the one-day ride. You may leave your car parked at the Hyatt Regency for the day for free. See the hotel on google maps here. You are responsible for getting yourself to and from the event hotel.
